1. Hanging Mural Panels

Hanging panel murals are the most popular way to create the large trade show display graphic murals for pop-up displays such as the Arise exhibit system, the Voyager popup display, and the Ocean Sprite display system. These display murals actually replace the fabric panels of the popup system. These murals are printed on graphic panels that are exactly the same size as the fabric panels that normally cover the pop-up frame. And they apply to the frame in the same way as the fabric panels... they hang.

Like the fabric panels, these mural panels have plastic hanger strips at the top that hang on one pin in each upper corner and magnetic strips on the back along the edge that hold down the vertical seams. The seams butt up against each other and are almost invisible -- there is no overlap.

Advantages:
This type of mural is the best choice when you want a smooth image that covers the entire pop-up frame from top to bottom and/or side to side. It can even wrap around the ends... just as the fabric does. Cover just part of the display, replacing 2 or 3 fabric panels, or the whole display, replacing all the panels. The hanging panel mural offers choices. Shipping is easy as the mural panels replace the fabric panels - they ship right with the exhibit system.

Disadvantages:
The real disadvantage is in the production of this mural. Taking the time to create graphics panels that are the correct dimensions is critical. But its worth it!
2. Velcro™-Applied Mural Panels

The velcro applied panel murals do not replace the fabric panels. They work best on a popup curved exhibit such as the Arise exhibit system, the Voyager popup display, and the Ocean Sprite display system. These display graphics murals are printed and laminated in the same way as the hanging panel murals, but they apply to the fabric of a pop-up curve display with Velcro® at the top and bottom. The seams overlap, typically by 1/2 inch. The panels do not hang.

Advantages:
There are several advantages to this method. One is that you do not have to make the mural exactly the same size as the fabric panels. For example, you can have a mural that is only 5 ft. tall and any width you like. Another advantage is flexability. You can position it toward the top of the display at one show and toward the right side at the next show. The same mural can be used on different backwalls. If you rent the exhibit systems, this non hanging mural would be the best option, as it will always fit. It is also a little less expensive to produce an non-hanging mural than the (above) hanging mural.
Because of the heavy laminate on front and back, these panels are durable and will last through many trade shows displays. They can be rolled and shipped in a tube, or, in many instances, they can be rolled up and shipped in the same case with the exhibit display system.

Disadvantages
The non hanging mural is not a good way to cover an entire display. If the display is not a concave curve, the edges can stand up a bit, making the seams quite visible. The seams of a non hanging mural panel overlap and can make alignment more difficult.
3. Multiple Hard Panels

Multiple hard panel murals are usually made to fit folding multiple frame trade show booths displays such as the Outline exhibit system. The frame breaks up the mural into rectangular sections. The effect is like looking at an outdoor scene through window panes. The eye has no trouble putting the pieces together as a single image. Designers just have to be careful where they place text in a graphic design.

These display murals are mounted on foam board or a PVC plastic board most people call Sintra™ , which is the most popular brand name.

Advantages:
The advantages really have to do with the type of exhibit system. One key advantage is that the mural panels are attached before the exhibit system is shipped, which means that when you get to the show, all you have to do is unfold the exhibit booth. There is no applying or hanging the mural at the show.

Disadvantages
The only disadvantages have to do with the limitations of this type of exhibit system.

4. Supported Mural Panels

An amazingly powerful magnetic strip locks the vertical edges of the graphics panels together, making the image nearly seamless. The virtually invisible Chrono Expo 2 graphics support system allows this mural to seem as though
it stands by itself. Better than just a banner stand.
A Portable Mural Display System.

Advantages:
Light weight, portable, easy to set up and visually impressive.

Disadvantages:
The real disadvantage is in the production of the graphic panels. Aligning the seams is detail work. But its worth it!

Our Graphic Design Service

As noted, our prices can include printing, mounting
and laminating. Printing prices are based on receiving
properly prepared artwork from you or your designer in
"ready-to-print" digital form.

CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED DIGITAL FILE

However, we can work with anything you provide ...
from an idea sketched on a napkin to snapshots to
lengthy written instructions. We provide creative design
services. There are additional charges to prepare your
poster when we do not receive a ready-to-print
computer file. However, we make every effort to keep
these charges reasonable. And of course you receive
an estimate beforehand.

We are a full-service photography and design studio with over 30 years professional experience. Time and overall cost estimates are provided for your approval before the work starts. While we work very hard to make every image, design, or photo as appealing as possible, we also believe that in exhibit design, simple designs are usually the most effective. Complex designs tend to be lost in a trade show or convention.

SAMPLES AND IDEAS

We also believe that the best designs are a team effort. We welcome your ideas, your marketing objectives, and your feedback. In the end the design will be the design that you want, not something creative for our portfolio.

We can design and print all your tradeshow graphics needs including:
brochures, sell sheets, business cards, logos, posters, murals, and banners.
